Recently, I’ve discovered two very interesting utilities that solve two equally common problems.

The first is Clean My Keyboard, completely free, which allows you to lock the keyboard when cleaning it. I used to put the Mac to sleep, but this way is much simpler. You launch it and you have a button to lock the keyboard and then the same one to unlock it. Really simple and extremely convenient.

The second one is AlDente, which allows you to monitor your Mac’s battery health and set a maximum charging value to help the battery wear out less and last longer. It actually does a ton of other functions and lets you keep track of a lot of battery values, but this is my main use for it.
And if you’re satisfied with this use, the free version is perfect for you. Otherwise, you can unlock the advanced features through a monthly subscription or lifetime purchase, and it’s also available through SetApp.
