Since I’ve decided to revive this blog, I’ve also decided to do it properly all the way through, so I’ll be taking part in the 100DaysToOffload challenge.
You can find all the information on the website, but the concept is simple: write 100 posts in a year. About 2 per week.
I’ve decided to take on this challenge for one simple reason: to give myself a rhythm for writing. It sounds trivial and obvious, but it’s not: I absolutely need to find the right rhythm to write about all the things I want to share.
And then the challenge explicitly doesn’t specify what type of posts to publish: I’m thinking of creating regular posts (probably monthly) with updates on my projects, or even a regular post featuring interesting resources I’ve found online. On this last point especially, I need to think it through carefully and find a mechanism that automates the collection and writing of a draft as much as possible, which I’ll then go on to comment on.
Let’s see, on paper it objectively doesn’t seem like an impossible challenge, but I’ve always failed when it comes to consistency. I hope the view numbers will encourage me too, so enough talk and let’s get started!
