Yesterday I decided to print some objects with my Bambulab A1. Too bad the first print failed, with a clear message: the filament got jammed…

Well, I clean the print head and… nothing. So I disassemble the filament hub (the piece above the print head, where the 4 PTF tubes from the AMS arrive, containing the filament) and… there’s the culprit!

I try to extract it with pliers but it won’t budge… in the end, as I could have expected, I break the filament.
So I decide to open it up…

And as expected: I caused a damage. I break the highlighted little piece and therefore can’t reassemble it anymore – printer blocked.
I write desperately to Bambulab support and in less than 24 hours they respond: it’s apparently a known issue (the durability of that piece), my printer is still under warranty, and a new filament hub will be sent to my home for free! I can’t believe it, I’m overjoyed!
Moral of the story:
– Kudos to Bambulab who, despite my clumsiness, recognizes that a part wasn’t sturdy enough and replaces it under warranty!
– I’m absolutely terrible at manual work; if I can break something, I definitely will. Shame on me.
