Another two weeks without a post. Not a shock โ I knew Madrid was coming, and by now I know exactly how that goes: things pile up before the trip, more things pile up after, and writing ends up at the bottom of the list every single time.
The next three weeks are shaping up the same way. This week I’m trying to dig out from a pile of work projects that went on hold, then it’s off to New York and Dublin.
One thing I did actually get done: I re-configured my homelab on the QNAP. I want to write a proper post about it soon, because the setup was a bit different this time โ I ran the whole thing with Claude Code as a co-admin, and it went surprisingly well.
On the not-so-great side, I had two rough days with my stomach. Happens to me every time I change my diet. I’m over it now.
I also have two certifications to renew. That’s going to take a chunk of time I don’t really have.
The writing backlog is a mess. Plenty of ideas, plenty of drafts that never went anywhere. I still haven’t figured out a workflow that actually gets me from “I should write about this” to hitting publish without a three-week gap in between. Something to fix โ eventually.
July should be quieter. Or at least that’s what I’m telling myself.
