Pretty quiet week this one. Work kept me busy with the usual stuff, but Saturday I finally dragged myself to a movie theater for the first time in a year. Also bookmarked a couple of interesting AI-related links. Here’s the recap.

Tv series/Movies

  • Project Hail Mary (2025) — I had read Andy Weir’s book and loved it to bits. The movie, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller with Ryan Gosling playing Ryland Grace, doesn’t disappoint. Seeing Rocky on screen was something else, honestly. The only downside is that at two and a half hours they still had to cut a lot of material from the novel. Some subplots and details I cared about just didn’t make it in. That said, it’s a solid sci-fi movie, and it was my first trip to the cinema in about a year. Worth it.

Nothing this week.

Personal projects

It’s been a pretty slow week for my personal projects too.

  • I somehow managed to clog the Bambu Lab printer again, probably using filament that’s too dry and a bit old. I cleaned it, but some filament is still stuck in the nozzle, so I’ve ordered a replacement that should arrive in the next few weeks. Bit of a shame, I had a few things lined up to print.

Around the Web

  • Kiro changelog — AWS’s AI coding IDE, Kiro, keeps pushing updates.
  • AI trending repositories — An aggregator that tracks trending AI repositories on GitHub. Handy if you don’t want to manually scroll through GitHub every day to see what’s new. Bookmarked it.

Slow week for content, but sometimes that’s how it goes. See you next time.
